Succulent and delicious, cherries are distinguished for their deep red color, juicy flesh, and unique taste.

There are more than 1,000 different varieties of cherries, of which roughly 20% are those with the greatest consumption. Many of these varieties are grown in Europe and in Greece.

The production of cherries is approximately 70,000 tonnes in Greece, while the Northern Greece accounts for more than 50% of the Greek produce.
