Let’s Eat – European Authentic Taste’, the project promoted by IVSI – Istituto Valorizzazione Salumi Italiani and ASIAC – the Association formed by the eight largest organisations of Greek fruit producers – officially kicked off last Friday 15 October in Rome.
During the Absolute Tennis Championships of AGIT, the Italian Association of Tennis Journalists, which took place at the Foro Italico from 13 to 17 October, not only was the Let’s Eat campaign presented, but it was also an opportunity to award the Let’s Eat Prize to Marco Betello (Tg1), Alessandro Fabretti (Rai Sport), Stefano Meloccaro (Sky Sport), and Gianni Sciancalepore (Corriere della sera). More than an award, it was an acknowledgement for these athletes who have managed to reconcile their profession as journalists with the care of their own health, through their passion for sport and proper nutrition. with the care of their own health, through their passion for sport and proper nutrition. Presenting the plaques – and also decreeing the winners – was Jimmy Ghione (Striscia la Notizia).
At the press conference hosted by Pierluigi Pardo, journalist, TV presenter and commentator, and Antonella Piperno, journalist and vice-president of AGIT, speakers included: Francesco Pizzagalli, President of the Istituto Valorizzazione Salumi Italiani, Despina Koukoulopoulou, Minister Counsellor at the Greek Embassy in Rome, Erminia Ebner, nutritionist biologist and lecturer at the CONI School of Sport in Rome.
The meeting was followed by an aperitif of finger food and gourmet creations by Fabio Campoli, innovative chef, author of several publications and lecturer as well as a well-known face on the small screen.
